Our Jurisdiction

Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church is a part of the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece, Avlona Synod, sometimes referred to as GOC-A.  The Synod is a traditional, Old Calendar Greek Orthodox jurisdiction.  We were the first mission of the Synod in North America and are overseen by Archibishop Irineos of Austin.

The Synod is committed to the preservation of the original Christian faith, as delivered by the Apostles and preserved through their successors to the present day. As is true of all Greek Old Calendar jurisdictions, we are not affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America.
